What is Fitness Boxing?

Boxing for the body, not the ring.

Fitness boxing takes the technique of classic boxing (stance, guard, punch combinations, footwork) and packs it into a workout that builds conditioning and coordination. You learn to punch cleanly, move and stay clear-headed under load.

What you don't learn: preparing for a competition. There's no contact sparring, no judges, no push toward a license. Whoever joins to defend themselves or simply to sweat hard gets exactly that.

Who is it for?

Four reasons to start.

You start where you are. What you can't do yet, you learn.

  • Self-defense

You want to feel safe and be able to react when it counts. We train distance, guard and clean punches.

  • Cardio with a brain

You want hard conditioning that doesn't end mindlessly on the bike. Pads and the bag push you.

  • Beginners

You've never boxed. Your coach starts with stance, guard and the first punches. Everything else builds on that.

  • No competition ambition

You want to learn to box, but not step into the ring. With us there's no contact sparring, no license requirement.

How it runs

Technique, sweat and punching power.

On the weekly schedule: one fixed fitness boxing session a week. Current times on the schedule.

Technique plus conditioning: you work on the pads, the heavy bag and in partner drills. Punch combinations, distance work, footwork. In between, rounds that drive your pulse up.

Scaled: your coach adjusts pace, intensity and movement complexity to you. Beginners and advanced boxers train in the same session, each at their own level.

What you need

Training shoes, clothes, done.

01Training shoes

Clean shoes with a firm sole. No running shoes, no street shoes.

02Training clothes

Whatever you wear for sport otherwise: flexible, breathable.

03Hand wraps (optional)

Your own hand wraps are nice, but not a must to get started. We'll lend you some.

04No experience needed

You don't need to have boxed before. Your coach starts with stance and guard.

Still on the fence?

Common questions.

Do I need to have boxed before?

No. Your coach builds the stance with you, shows the guard and the first punch combinations. If you've never made a fist, that's exactly where you start.

Is there sparring?

No full-contact sparring. We work on the pads, the heavy bag and in controlled partner drills. If you want more, you're in the wrong place. We're not a competition club.

Is this also for women?

Yes. Many in the session train with a self-defense background, women and men alike. We coach respectfully, without a macho attitude.

How hard is the training?

Hard enough that you sweat. Gentle enough that you can come back the next day. Your coach adjusts pace and intensity to your level.

Is once a week enough?

For fitness and the basics, yes. Anyone who wants faster progress combines the session with CrossFit or open training in the same box.
